Market time in Kutaisi

We overnighted in Kutaisi on our way up to the mountains near the border with North Ossetia. Kutaisi is a university town and regularly celebrates its poets, writers and artists.

We headed to the bazaar first thing in the morning, and I am super keen to try more of their different pickles. We are seeing pickled garlic in many places, in this bazaar, they were selling them singularly (ie not in jars)……so of course I was purchasing!

Pickled garlic + toothpaste= reactive mix!!!

The markets are always interesting to me, and always smell amazing! You really want to take all of the herbs and spices home with you, even though it’s almost impossible to do so!

And there’s always a puppy that I want to take home. When the little guy above put his paw on my foot, my heart broke.
