Don’t hit a Malay market with jet lag!

Landing in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, I knew I was going to be smacked in the face with the warmth and the humidity, and I was!

I jumped on the train into KL central and then a monorail (I don’t think I’ve ever been on a monorail before! It was a first!) with just a short walk to my accommodation.

Unfortunately my plane landed at 8am, so my room was not ready, so I had a quick change of clothes and went for a wander. I headed off towards the botanic gardens.

Indonesia have been burning off and causing the whole region to have horrendous haze, and this is affecting KL hugely. It’s so bad that I’m not even going to bother going up the Petronas Twin Towers (maybe next time).

Can you find the towers?

As I am wandering around the city, the heat and my jet lag are really beginning to set in. I stumbled across the Petaling Street Market and I was really not up for it! It was an assault of “missy, you want bag, watch, perfume, etc”….. I was not ready for that! It was time to leave!

I headed back to the hotel (time was right for check-in) for a cold shower and a lay down. I did just over 19,000 steps while waiting for check in, so a lay down was earned!

Dinner did call me, so I went for a wander and found a great night street market!

After the food market, I popped upstairs for a post dinner swim and then my bed literally grabbed me, told me to shut up and sleep….😴 💤
