It was time for the official handing over ceremony from one friend to another. Lesley and Kylie have never met before now, but have heard a lot about each other through out the years. Friday happened to be Lesley’s birthday, so she drove down to London to meet us.
Kylie is the best birthday organiser ever, so booked in a West End show, cocktail bar and a fancy dinner out in Soho.
We went to see The Choir of Man on the West End. It was supremely suitable for the three of us! We walked into a theatre scene that looked and sounded like we had just walked into any London pub! Actually, we’d been in a rush to get to the show, so had forgone the beer on the way in…. So this felt like we were in that pub we missed! As you can imagine, the show was a choir of men…. Young men, it was very good and had loads of crowd participation. If you get a chance to see it, definitely go! You can find out more about them here.

From here Kylie had a lovely little bar in Soho booked in. After the theatre experience, this one felt like the waiters were still in the show, as they were full of theatrics, attitude and were playing their own funny little characters. It was all together amusing. So if you are looking for a sassy little Soho cocktail bar, get a booking in to Bar Termini, but you will need a booking, it appeared to be super busy and popular. And if you look in the background of our photo, there are a lot of steamy, grumpy looking ladies waiting for their turn to get in!! You can find Bar Termini here.

Kylie had our dinner place booked for ages before we actually came to London. We headed out to a place called Duck Soup in Soho. The food was amazing, but we were too hungry to take photo’s before tucking into it. I have to say that the people watching here was more interesting. There was a wedding downstairs, so watching the coming and going of family was amusing. Out the front of the restaurant there was a very toffy looking party of people, who seemed to think that it was 30 degrees, as they were all in singlet tops (and tweed coats when they arrived). So we proceeded to watch the wedding party and the toffy group get more and more sozzled. It made for some good story scenarios from our view!
From here, we just did the usual skipping around from pub to pub, until we were all too knackered and just needed to head home to bed.

It was a lovely birthday for Lesley and I hope that she didn’t mind us totally hijacking her day and just dragging her around London!
Saturday morning was time to have a bit of a teary farewell from Kylie, as Lesley and I were driving down to Cornwall for some adventures before heading back up through Wales and Scotland camping it and hiking. It’s been an amazing time to spend with Kylie and she has been one of the most thoughtful and delightful hostesses, sharing unique little London experiences, as well as crazy France and Norway experiences! Thank you Kylie, I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to repay the favour in the same way! Much love to you xxxx
